Privacy notice

This notice explains how Before the Deal handles information submitted through the owner Deal-Readiness Review intake at b4thedeal.com.

What we collect

The intake asks for your name, email address, business name, optional business website, approximate annual-revenue range, possible sale horizon, referral source, and an optional short description of what you need. It also records non-identifying attribution values such as UTM campaign tags, the referring site's origin only, the landing page, submission time, and a random lead ID.

Do not submit tax returns, financial statements, bank records, customer or employee data, account credentials, government identifiers, or other sensitive documents through this form.

How we use it

We use intake information to evaluate fit, respond to you, operate the Deal-Readiness Review, measure which BTD source produced the inquiry, prevent abuse, and maintain basic business records. Submitting the form does not create an engagement.

Service providers and sharing

The site and form are hosted by Netlify, which screens form submissions for spam using Akismet. Intake notifications are delivered to the BTD business email hosted through Dynadot. Those providers process information only as needed to provide hosting, form, spam-screening, security, and email services. Before the Deal does not sell intake information or share it for third-party advertising.

Browser storage

The site stores one small first-touch attribution record in your browser's local storage so an eventual intake can retain the source that first brought you here. It contains campaign tags and a timestamp, not your form answers. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.

Retention and deletion

Unaccepted or inactive intake records are targeted for deletion from the live form system within 90 days. If you become a client, relevant records may be kept as needed to perform the engagement and meet ordinary legal, accounting, and business-record obligations. You may ask us to correct or delete your intake information, subject to those obligations.

Security

The form is served over HTTPS and intentionally does not accept file uploads. If an intake is accepted, sensitive documents must use separate secure-transfer instructions. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
